Hello! I’m looking to raise funds for a service dog to help with my PTSD so I can get out in the world and live life again. Will you help me reach that goal?
Here’s the thing. i currently have a service dog. Here’s the problem, she’s tiny and she’s old and needs to be retired. I really need a service dog in order to be able to function. As such, I’ve started a fundraiser to get one. I need to raise $10,000 in order to get a new dog. I’m hoping to get a german shepherd, but at this point, I’ll take anything I can get.
I have PTSD. I used to be able to keep it all inside and pretend like everything was okay, but the truth is, it’s not. And it just keeps getting worse. I only ever leave the house with my service dog, and the only time I don’t is when I go to work. She keeps me grounded so that I don’t dissociate and walk into busy streets, she helps pull me out of anxiety attacks and flashbacks. She helps me be around people where I would otherwise be curled in a ball, sobbing. But she’s old and she’s too small for some of my newer symptoms (balance issues mainly). I really need a service dog who can accommodate that. Any little bit helps. Please and Thank you!
